OOTD: Queen of the Nile + Redhead Mall Tour

Would you guys say I’m channeling Cleopatra in the outfit posts below? I confess I do not have her power to lure men and lead nations but the bluntly cut bangs and the gold necklace are reminiscent of the Queen of the Nile. Well, in my mind, they are. πŸ™‚

How is everyone lately? You must have noticed how quiet I have been recently. As usual, work is taking its toll and I’ve been scrambling to keep up with my responsibilities. I feel like I need to get away for awhile. I want to escape! That’s why I’m really looking forward to my Bora trip this coming October. πŸ˜€

Anyway, I’ll stop whining now and show you an outfit I wore last week. The dress came from Soiree at SM Girls Teens Wear. It had cut-outs on the side, which I liked in theory. In reality, the cut-outs made me realize just how badly I needed to start exercising and live a healthier lifestyle. My fats were spilling out! πŸ˜€

Outfit Details:

  • Cut-out dress – Soiree at SM Girls Teens Wear
  • Shoes from Folded and Hung
  • Necklaces and Bracelets from Aizylim, Cutey, and Saizen

Let me go on about the dress because I’m not yet over it. Hahaha The thing is, the band spans right below the rib cage. Because that part has no bone, the rib cage protrudes on the cut-outs as the band presses down on the fleshy part of the tummy. Ok, I’m rationalizing here. Maybe it’s all in my mind. Maybe, you guys didn’t really notice what I was talking about here until I finally pointed out with my weird rambling. Maybe I’m just being the girl who likes nitpicking on her body. Hahahaha πŸ˜€

Speaking of SM GTW, I will be in SM Makati this coming Saturday for the Redhead Mall Tour. I will be there with other bloggers so I hope you guys attend too:

If you do see me there, please don’t hesitate to say hi. I would love to get to know you guys! πŸ™‚

See you all there!

Adios, mi amigos y amigas! πŸ™‚

  1. Oh wow, I know it’s been a while since I last visited your blog but dang those fringe made you look like a different person. I almost didn’t recognize you… but of course, love the whole package! Sexy dress too!

  2. Mich! I super love your hair! It really makes you embody the Cleopatra look, especially with that gold necklace~ πŸ˜€ I like the black dress too, but I’m not too crazy with the side cut-outs. Maybe because I don’t prefer wearing anything with cuts, ’cause you know I like clothes that “hide” my fats.. XD Haha.. But don’t worry, it looks good on you! Btw, would love to attend on Saturday but I think I’ll need to save up some moolah first. It would be hard to resist shopping when I’m in SM Makati >.<

  3. Aww I wish I could have bangs like that again. But they won’t flatter my face anymore. Your accessories and the bangs totally made you look Cleopatra-ish πŸ˜€
