OOTD: Change

When I went to work last Monday, a lot of people didn’t recognize me. People are so used to seeing my in my high heels that my ballet flats, coupled with my new do, completely threw them off. I felt like the new girl. I felt great! πŸ™‚

Sometimes, don’t you just want to create a new identity for yourself? To shake off all the preconceived notions people have about you and completely take them by surprise? I often feel the need to do that. There is joy in un-boxing oneself and finding the surprise hidden underneath. πŸ™‚

Last Sunday, I was at Trinoma with my aunt because we were planning to watch Bourne Legacy. As we were walking to the cinema, we both got sidetracked by the various things we saw on the way. I, in particular, went to Landmark and saw this interesting peachy cream top with the asymmetrical hem. I thought the cut very interesting and I like how it effortlessly clung to the mannequin so I bought it for myself.

I paired it with my new flats from Parisian and my tribal printed knit skirt from Forever 21. The black cardigan and the necklace complete the entire look.

Outfit details:

  • Cardigan – thrifted
  • Top – February Love at Landmark, Trinoma
  • Skirt – Forever 21
  • Shoes – Parisian at SM Megamall

By the way, today I had a talk with a nutritionist for work and she basically inspired me to start working out. I shall really start getting serious with Zumba because dance is the only workout I enjoy at the moment.

How about you guys? Are you working out? What’s your fitness regime?

  1. I love your new look Ms. Mich πŸ˜€ And I’m sooo in love with your Aztec skirt. I’m sooo into Aztec prints lately. Hee I wish I could be that adventurous when it comes to haircut. I have the usual hairstyles because I’m a bit afraid that it may not look good on me… But there’s no harm in trying. Maybe after the boards, I will have that adventure and makeover myself.

    1. Yeah, Aztec prints are so interesting and colorful! Super like too! hehehehe You can do some research first before going to the salon so you can prepare yourself πŸ˜€ And go to a good haircutter even though it may be more expensive just to be sure they do a good job and give you good advice too πŸ˜€ Go for it!!!

  2. I love the top and the necklace! πŸ™‚ I do love change. I’m actually working on giving myself a makeover. I always wear flats, and I’m planning to buy high heels for a change next pay day. I’m currently doing Hatha Yoga at home. There’s this video I do everyday from YouTube. I will be enrolling in a Yoga class soon. I love Yoga because it challenges my body, and it also comes with meditation. I also love to dance, so I do that as my cardio routine. I dance the fitness set from Dance Central 2.hehe It would be awesome if I can invite you to my apartment and we can play Dance Central.haha

  4. I love your new look, Mich! πŸ˜€ The hair really matches your whole outfit and it’s refreshing to see you in flats. I’m sure it’s more comfy for your feet, no? Anyway, I’m planning to have a make-over myself. Dunno whether I should have my hair curled or cut it really short? Oh, and speaking of working out, I used to regularly do the 30-Day Shred, but I’ve become too lazy recently.. >.< Thanks for the reminder! πŸ˜‰
