Lady Gaga – either you love her or hate her. So on the one hand, you see legions of little monsters eager to go see her and on the other, a group of protesters pleading the government to ban her from the country.
Admittedly, I’m not a huge Gaga fan. I only know some of the more popular songs in her first and second album because they are awesome dance songs and I love to party! Haha When Smart gave me tickets to her concert, I thought it would be a great opportunity to make my decision regarding Gaga.
First off, I gotta say that I love her fashion although it’s undeniably outrageous. If you follow my Pinterest account, you might have noticed my penchant for leather and bondage and that’s exactly what she delivers. In the succeeding photos, you will see her various costume changes during her concert:
Lady Gaga’s ode to the Philipines – a Filipiniana – inspired costume.
I guess Gaga owned people’s accusations of her worshiping the goat god. Cheeky, eh?
This is so retro with the pink circle sun glasses, origami dress, and fur coat.
At this point, Lady Gaga came into the stage riding a motor bike with the Philippine flag waving behind her. Then she proceeded to play the piano attached to her bike and rock it out with her electric guitar. I was impressed!
Remember how Gaga once created such a ruckus when she strutted the red carpet at the MTV Music Awards wearing a meat dress? Here’s another version of it, complete with hanging slabs of pork.
Gaga’s gun boobs and the photo directly above this is just hilarious! :))
Long this studded jacket and corset. It’s very cool and rock and roll! 🙂
The concert had its highs and lows – the lows being the parts when the tall people in front of me blocked my view and when she sang some of the songs I’ve never heard of. Hahaha There were also times when things got really weird! Even I was a bit freaked out. My favorite part of the show though was when Gaga became a little bit emotional when she was talking about how the protests affected her. With tears in her eyes, she admitted to being irresponsible yet she also spoke of her mission to speak up for those who oppressed by the confining rules of society.
Unfortunately, I only have one decent video of the concert because so many tall people were blocking my view!!! Hahaha Check this out:
At the end of the day, I can say that I maintain my love – hate relationship with Gaga. I don’t think any one side can win me over completely. 🙂
Again, thank you Smart for my free tickets! 🙂
