Got to Know How? PLDT Telpad Tells You How

In today’s world of Internet and mobile communication, you would think that the good ol’ landline is as good as obsolete. That’s what I thought too until I saw PLDT’s Telpad. With its super sleek tablet design, it brings back the sexy to something that was once old and bulky.

With PLDT Telpad, not only can you make your usual calls but also, you can access the Internet and have a ton of information right in one small tablet. For example, every PLDT Telpad comes with a Tell Me How Application that has an exclusive video repository featuring experts talking about different fields. If you want to know how to speak French? PLDT Telpad will tell you how. If you want to know how to transform your day look into an evening look? The PLDT Telpad has the answer to that too!

Last Thursday, I got to witness the wonders of this application up close as I attended the Tell Me How app at Prive. The event was hosted by the beautiful Sarah Meier who looked very elegant in her jumpsuit. I was amazed by how tall she was!

Also in attendance where PLDT’s top bosses who talked about the product and their passion to reinvent how we use our typical landline. I must say, that they did quite a good job. My friend Moritz and I were very impressed with the Telepad.

Ok, remember I was talking about how Tell Me How application features several experts from different fields? Well, here they are:

Bianca Valerio, Bea Constantino, and Sassa Jimenez for Fashion and Style; Erwan Eussaff for Food; Paul Ticzon for Photography; Michele Gumabao and Kirk Long for Sports; Lois Yasay for Travel; Atoy Llave and Sam Liuson for Automobile; and Winnie Cordero and Jie Pambid for Living Space.

With their help, us bloggers who attended the event had to pull off our very own fashion shows using Sassa Jimenez’s creations. Since not all of us were well-versed with styling and photography (we had to do before and after shots), we were shown tutorials by Bea Constantino and Paul Ticzon via the PLDT Telpad’s Tell Me How app.

My group and I were very nervous about it but in the end, Alyssa LapidΒ pulled off the role of stylist very well and the rest of us did our best as models on the runway. πŸ˜€

By the end of the night, Moritz and I were so excited to go home and tell our moms about the Telpad! We both thought that it was such a handy thing to have at home. The rate is reasonable too. If you already have an existing PLDT DSL plan, you only have to add about PHP550 to PHP859. If you’re a new subscriber, the Telpad plan starts at PHP1,849 with up to 1mbps worth of Internet.

Do any of you guys already have this at home? If you do, let me know what you think about it. I’d like to hear your recommendations. πŸ™‚

  1. A rep from PLDT called us a month ago and endorsed the product to us but we thought it isn’t really a practical gadget to have if you already have a telephone, but I DO like the apps lineup! It’s actually very intuitive ! But I need to try it our for myself, it’s just too bad there’s no event here in Zambo similar to the one you attended. πŸ˜€

  4. I want to have a Telpad, but I don’t think we’ll be able to use it often since my parents are not so techy while my lil sis and I are always away from home. Given the chance though, and some moolah to spare, I think i’d still get one. Ang cool sobra eh! πŸ˜€
