I’ve been neglecting my blog these past few weeks, haven’t I? Things have been a bit too busy, so busy that when I get home, all I can think about is throwing myself on my bed and sleep for ages. I’ve been very tired too that I’ve even started to neglect my boyfriend. This makes me sad. To add to that, I’ve just had a fight with him. Not sure if he has forgiven me yet but I shall know tomorrow, I guess.
Nevertheless, let’s move on to happier thoughts. I don’t want to depress you all with the story of my life. 🙂
Nothing can be happier than the thought of summer. It’s been really hot these past few days and I’ve been relishing the thought of dipping into a pool or plunging into the sea to cool myself off. If I’m not stuck at work, I’ll definitely be enjoying the surf and sand somewhere. Hence, this weekend, I went to the closest thing I can go to here in the city – Snoe’s Suntervention Bloggers Convention!
As soon as I arrived, I got served this wonderfully fresh and fruity tropical drink. A thirst quencher after a long and humid travel to Makati.
The convention was especially held to introduce to us Snoe’s latest sun protection product, which I will write about in another post within the week. Snoe takes sun protection so seriously that their latest product – SunTervention with SPF 80++ – deserves a post of its own.
Meanwhile, I’ll talk you through the sizzling hot things that happened that day.
Also glad to bump into the very sweet Janine. 🙂
… and Aya, to name a few.
Despite it being a rainy day, nothing stopped Snoe from bringing in some sunshine and warmth to the event. (It was called SunTervention, after all.) So, the brought in some fire dancers to perform.
I should mention that these talented “girls” also double as Snoe’s sales agents at their mall counters.
However, a summer event cannot be complete without some beach boys so Snoe had them too! Haha Some of us (including myself! haha) had the opportunity of rubbing the Suntervention sunblock on them and later on, towel them dry after a dip in the pool.
For those, who want to see the beach boys up close, I made sure to have a photo taken with them to inspire you all in the coming week. Taaadaaaa! 🙂
But that’s not all there was! Snoe also had a lash bar set up for those who wanted to try their Flash On Falsies. All these are hand-made and come in different types (natural to full on) to suit whatever look you want. I chose to try one of the full-on lashes just to see how they looked on me.
Unfortunately, one of the lashes (the one that looks undone) poked me in the eye so the lady who put them on me had to take it off again. So sad 😦 I guess full-on lashes aren’t for me. Haha
After the disaster with the lashes, I was once again entertained by the games Snoe had prepared for us bloggers. One involved these best dressed ladies – Irene, Martha, and Tara – modeling their Glam Beach wear for us.
Before the event ended, I had my photo taken with Jen Gerodias – Diaz, one of the co-founders of Snoe Beauty. She’s a truly inspiring modern-day super woman who was able to turn what she loved best into a profitable business. She and her partner Gen Gerodias deserve all the success that they’re currently experiencing.
I want to thank them both for inviting me to the event and for being generous enough to give us bloggers some Snoe Cash to “buy” the products we wanted. 🙂
It was a super fun way to spend the weekend. I got to hear about the latest Snoe Products, meet old and new friends, and most importantly, have a jolly good time just being a girl.
Special mention to Hana Abello who’s actually classmates with my best friend Biel. I don’t think your classmates read this blog so your secret life is still safe (I hope!) Haha 🙂
Things to watch out for:
