Be Seduced by Narcissus and Circe from NYX Cosmetics

I’ve been hearing great reviews about NYX Cosmetics from several beauty bloggers online. So when I finally saw some being sold, I dipped my toes into the craze by buying lipsticks.

I got two colors that I’ve been lusting after: a bright pink shade and a nude one. The pink is called Narcissus and the nude, Circe. I have been informed by the lady at the counter that these were the top-selling products in their respective shades category.

What do I think about these lipsticks?

Well, for one, I love the fact that they are very much pigmented, hence you get really good color pay off.

I also love the creamy texture they have although it sometimes feels like I have so much glop on your lips. Not a good description, I know, but for me, that’s really how creamy lipstick feels. Very moisturizing though. 🙂

Lastly, I enjoy mixing the two colors together or with other more matte shades to create various colors. I particularly love mixing the nude shade with a matte red lipstick to subdue the bright red color a bit and make it more wearable for day time.

At PHP200 each, it’s definitely worth a try since it won’t break the bank.

Try it and let me know what you think. 🙂

UPDATE:

I was asked to post a swatch of the two colors mixed together and I finally got around to taking photos. The result, as mentioned, is a more wearable pink. 🙂

Hope this helps! 🙂

  1. Thank you for this swatch!

I am very afraid when it goes to lipsticks, and to be honest I wouldn’t buy Narcissus. But it really is a beautiful color .
Circe, on the other hand, is lovely. But I only use it when I put bright/strong makeup in my eyes, so I wont look like a corpse!
